Eastern Ontario Bass Fishing Guide
About Your Guide:
My Name is Peter Larmand and I'll be your guide for this trip. I currently live on Big Rideau Lake and have been fishing this body of water for 15 years. I have been fishing all of my life. I have a passion for the sport of bass fishing and the great outdoors. I have been fishing bass tournaments since 1988 in Eastern Ontario. Series' like O.V and GM Pro Bass, Ottawa Bass, Bass Anglers Association, South Eastern Bass Open and Renegade Bass. In 2004 I started fishing BASS and FLW events in the United States.
What to Expect:
You will be fishing out of a 21 foot Nitro Z9 bass boat powered with a 250 HP Mercury Optimax Pro XS. We will be useing the latest techniques used on the professional bass circuits to catch your trophy bass. From pitching jigs, casting spinnerbaits in tight cover, fishing topwate, to drop shotting on deep weedlines.
Tackle:
Artificial lures will be provided. If you wish to bring your own equipment, please let me know at time of booking.
What You Need to Bring:
- A valid Ontario Fishing License
- Sunscreen
- Rain gear and a hat
Fees:
- $350 full day 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- $275 half day
- $150 for a trailer boat
These rates are for a maximum of 2 people per boat.
Bodies of Water:
Big Rideau Lake System:
This will cover the Upper, Big Rideau and Lower Rideau Lakes. To date my best largemouth bass was caught in 2006 and weighed in at 5.51 lbs.
Rideau River:The Rideau River is home to some big bass. We will fish in the section between Manotick and Burritt's Rapids. Todate my largest bass is 6.30 lbs which was caught in July 2004.
