See SonarChart\u2122 on your Boating app<\/strong>
\nIf you haven\u2019t yet downloaded charts to your\u00a0Boating app<\/a>, select\u00a0Menu > Download Map<\/strong>. The Navionics icon in the lower left corner indicates that Nautical Chart is being displayed.\u00a0Just tap the icon to switch to SonarChart\u2122!<\/strong>\u00a0You may need to zoom in to see the 1 ft\/0.5 m contours.<\/p>\n

Create new HD maps<\/strong>
\nSonarChart\u2122 Live allows you to create personal 1 ft\/0.5 m HD bathymetry maps while you are boating. You can create them using either your\u00a0plotter<\/a>\u00a0or mobile device. On mobile, you also need a\u00a0compatible<\/a>\u00a0sonar\/plotter equipped with internal or external Wi-Fi. Just open the app and go to\u00a0Menu > Connect a Device<\/strong>\u00a0to begin. Once your app and your sonar\/plotter are wirelessly connected, you will see the new chart layer on your mobile device screen as it is drawn in real time while you navigate!<\/p>\n

Customize your\u00a0<\/strong>SonarChart\u2122 Live<\/strong>\u00a0maps<\/strong>
\nGo to the app\u00a0Menu > Map Options<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

– to make sure you can clearly see the new contour lines, select the higher value for\u00a0Depth Shading<\/strong><\/p>\n

– to customize the color and transparency or stop creating maps, go to\u00a0SonarChart\u2122 Live Settings<\/strong><\/p>\n

– to personalize the amount of contours to display, adjust\u00a0SonarChart\u2122 Density<\/strong><\/p>\n

– to hide the new layer, toggle\u00a0SonarChart\u2122 Live<\/strong>\u00a0OFF<\/p>\n

Increase the detail of\u00a0<\/strong>SonarChart\u2122 for\u00a0<\/strong>your area<\/strong>
\nAny SonarChart\u2122 Live map you create can help enhance SonarChart\u2122 where you go boating! When you automatically send sonar logs to Navionics, they are integrated with existing data. After about one week, check the\u00a0Chart Viewer<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0update your charts<\/a>\u00a0to see the result of contributions from you and all other boaters!<\/p>\n
