Well the 8th Annual Peter Larmand Outdoors Kids Fishing Tournament is in the books. This year not only did the weather not co-operate with us but neither did the fish. 21 kids came out and braved the rain and cold. Kids ranged from as young as 4 with the oldest being 12. Although we didn\u2019t get the numbers out that we were hoping for and the kids didn\u2019t catch the numbers of fish they normally catch from talking with the young anglers, they all had a good time. Due to the rain coming down a little heavier now and the fish not turning on we decided to cut the event shorter by 1 hour. So after lunch we let the anglers fish for another 30 minutes and then we called it the day and started handing out the prizes. We had three anglers that caught fish today, Hannah, Matthew and Jake. Since Hannah\u2019s was the largest fish (perch) and she was the first one to catch a fish, Hannah won the trophy for the most fish caught. Congratulations Hannah and all the anglers that came out.

Once again this year we are lucky to have some great prizes and help from great companies in the area that also help us make this one of the best kids event in the region. Check them out: I ask that if you are in the market for any of the products and\/or services that these companies offer, that you give them the opportunity to earn your business. <\/p>\n The purpose of this event is to get kids out enjoying what the outdoors has to offer and to respect what nature has to offer. This year was the first year that we had former participants of this event return to volunteer and help out the younger anglers enjoy fishing and passing on the torch.
